Love and Fear

I remember Niccolo Machiavelli once said: It is better to be feared than loved, if you cannot be both.

But this man, he’s the man!

I guess I know how that even feels like. Love and fear residing on you at the same time. You love one person so much you’re scared if either you’re gonna lose them someday or you fear that you just disappoint them you’d rather stay away and love them from afar.

1 John 4:18 reminds me that: The opposite of love is not hate. It is fear, but perfect love drives out fear.

Therefore this ain’t perfect love, not even mutual, eh?
