Antoni/Antonio Gaudi

I was assigned to discuss and research about Gaudi’s works.

You know awesome he is? How great he is as an Architect?

Look at his works. How flexible, how versatile, how crazy. Ugh. I can’t even.

Sounds familiar?

He’s the one in charge of Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Catalonia, Kingdom of Spain.

It started in the 1800’s and construction ongoing until 2026. Imagine? It was abandoned for about a hundred years.

He believed that “The straight line belongs to man, the curve to God.”

Unbelievable. I can’t even.

Sagrada Familia’s full name’s Expiatory Church of the Holy Family — expiatory means to please God. Therefore, he thought that his Client wasn’t in a hurry that is why he did all of those crazy stuffs, not even thinking about any deadlines. It has 18 towers and 3 grand facades — Nativity, Passion and Glory.

*Madami pa siyang masterpiece and it can’t be contained in a single post. Natutuwa ako sa History namin. :)*
